LinkedIn

LinkedIn social integration, OAuth connect flow, and Marketing Hub lead capture.

Last updated 31 August 2026

Overview

LinkedIn is available in Social Media Integrations and Marketing Hub. Connect a LinkedIn account to publish content types such as Post, Article, Video, and Document. Campaign lead capture can auto-create leads from LinkedIn forms when enabled on a marketing campaign.

LinkedIn connection card in Social Media Integrations

Prerequisites

  • Administrator access to System Settings → Social Media or Social Media Integrations
  • A LinkedIn developer app with Client ID and Client Secret (configured in-app — not documented here)
  • Ability to add the platform OAuth redirect URI shown in Social Media Integrations to your LinkedIn app

Supported Functionality

  • OAuth connect, refresh, and disconnect from Social Media Integrations
  • Marketing Hub content types: Post, Article, Video, Document
  • Campaign lead capture flag: AutoCreateLeadFormLinkedIn with ExternalLinkedInFormId on campaigns

Setup

  1. Open System Settings → Social Media or Social Media Integrations.
  2. Locate the LinkedIn card.
  3. If status is Not Configured, click Configure and enter the app credentials your LinkedIn developer app provides.
  4. Copy the OAuth Redirect URI from the integration page into your LinkedIn app Auth settings (exact match required).
  5. Click Connect and complete the OAuth authorization in the browser.
  6. Confirm the card shows Connected with account name.

Configuration

  • In Marketing Hub, select LinkedIn when creating campaigns or posts.
  • On campaign lead capture settings, enable LinkedIn auto-create when you use LinkedIn lead forms and set the external form ID field shown in the app.
  • Token expiry is displayed on the connection card — use Reconnect when expired.

Connection Verification

  1. Social Media Integrations shows Connected (not Not Configured or Expired).
  2. Publish a test post from Marketing Hub if your role allows.
  3. For lead capture, submit a test lead through the configured form and confirm a CRM lead appears.

Usage

  • Create and schedule LinkedIn content from Marketing Hub.
  • Track engagement from the Social Media engagement dashboard when available.
  • Attribute captured leads in CRM with source/campaign fields.

Troubleshooting

  • Not Configured — complete Configure before Connect.
  • OAuth error — redirect URI must exactly match the value shown in Social Media Integrations.
  • Token expired — click Reconnect on the LinkedIn card.
  • LinkedIn-specific API field names beyond Client ID/Secret are managed in the in-app Configure screen — not duplicated here.

FAQ

Where is the redirect URI?

Social Media Integrations displays a read-only OAuth Redirect URI with a copy button. Use that exact URL in your LinkedIn developer app.

Is LinkedIn lead capture automatic?

Only when AutoCreateLeadFormLinkedIn is enabled on the campaign and the external form ID is set in the app.
